Review
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars brought the legendary RTS franchise back to life after a seven-year hiatus, and it did so in spectacular fashion. It successfully modernized the classic C&C formula while keeping the fast-paced, explosive gameplay that made the series iconic.
The game stays true to its roots, offering base building, resource management (via Tiberium harvesting), and intense, large-scale battles. The three factions—Global Defense Initiative (GDI), Brotherhood of Nod, and the newly introduced alien Scrin—are distinct in playstyle and well-balanced. The game rewards both strategic planning and quick reflexes, making for a compelling multiplayer experience.
The single-player campaign is a standout feature, featuring high-quality FMV cutscenes with a Hollywood cast (including Michael Ironside and Billy Dee Williams). The return of C&C icon Kane (played by Joe Kucan) gives the game an authentic Tiberium universe feel. The story itself is engaging, continuing the GDI-Nod war while introducing the Scrin as a new global threat.
For 2007, the visuals were impressive, with detailed unit models, explosive effects, and beautifully designed battlefields. The sound design is top-tier, featuring satisfying explosions, iconic voiceovers, and a fantastic soundtrack by Steve Jablonsky, which adds a cinematic feel to battles.
Multiplayer is where C&C 3 shines, offering fast-paced action with a focus on aggressive tactics. The Skirmish mode is equally satisfying, with well-programmed AI that can challenge even seasoned players.
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is a must-play for RTS fans, successfully blending classic C&C elements with modern design. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the series, the game delivers thrilling battles, an engaging campaign, and a fantastic multiplayer experience. It remains one of the best RTS games of its era.
Tips
There are two different ends for the GDI campaign. If you complete the last mission without using the liquid bomb you will get the good ending and use the liquid bomb. And you will get the bad ending.
Remember mid mission to save to make it quicker to get both endings
To unlock the NOD missions complete all the GDI missions
To unlock the Scrin missions complete all NOD missions
